Not so New New Car

So about two weeks ago I purchased a 2004 330ci BMW. While it is an upgrade from the car that I had before which is a 2000 BMW 323ci, to my neighbors I look like some kid that bought two of the same cars for no reason. However, there is an explanation for my somewhat reckless purchase. While I loved my 2000 BMW and made a promise that I would keep it throughout my four years of college, I became ashamed of it when my friends 2017 Honda Civic smoked me at a stoplight. I was able to play my loss off by saying my car need to warm up first and that I purposely slowed down to avoid hitting the curb, but I knew that I my prized 2000 BMW 323ci was slow. I considered going a couple routes to increase the speed, I thought of throwing a turbo charger on the beemer, but after some research I discovered that the engine on my 2000 BMW is known to blow up when turboed. So I decided that I would swap my engine out and put the engine that was in a 330ci BMW into my little 323ci BMW. After adding up all the cost, the time and labor I would spend doing the job, and assessing the possibility of me botching the car entirely, I decided that it would be a lot more practical for me to just buy a 330CI BMW, which is the same exact car but with different engine. And that is why I brought my not so new new car.
